Course Description

The part-time adult Introduction To Work is a one-week course and covers the areas of CV and cover letter writing, work applications, interview techniques, taxation, contracts and other key skills to maximise the student’s potential in gaining employment.

Students have use of a coursebook in class and are given homework as part of the course.

Learner Objectives

By the end of the course, learners will have:

* Studied and practised a range of lexis and functional language related to employment
* Planned organised and produced an up-to-date CV/cover letter
* Role played a job interview
* Gained work experience and cultural development

Entry Requirements

The minimum age is 18
Minimum B1 CEF Intermediate level up to C2 CEF Proficiency level
EU Nationals


Specialised English
Maximum 16 in a class

4 lessons / 3 hours per week

Course Accreditation

An English 2000 Certificate
An English 2000 Course Report, if requested
